Leia's Bumper mat ARRIVED!!!

The bumper mat that I purchased from the Singapore motherhood website arrived this afternoon!! It's so cute with the Pooh bear designs on it. And its really huge for Leia now but I think it's a good size for her to practise her crawling. The mAterial is also good as it's easy to clean and it's good for babies as they tend to drool a lot, so cleaning is VERY important. I also realise the mat is good for lazing after all her exercises. It's worth every penny.

Today is yet another hectic day for me, as Ginger has a very bad stomach. She "lao sai" IN THE ROOM!!!! Oh my God!! And that's not all, she actually vomitted streaks of BLOOD!! She gave both me and hubby such a scare..We quickly brought her to the vet and hubby was wondering if all her truma was due to jealousy. With the new addition to the family, I must admit that we have not been able to shower her as much attention as before but our love towards her has never changed. She will and always be our darling ,our first baby. We will have to monitor her the next 24hrs and I pray that all she is experiencing is just a bad stomachache.. Sorry my baby, mummy will try to play with you more whenever I can..

It's alos Leia's second day to cereals and I fed her using the Avent spoon. She's taking it better than yesterday but still with struggles. Just hope that she will soon be able to take a liking to solids.

sHe's 4 mths old today!!

The little Princess is 4 months old today and it's so exciting as I'm introducing her to cereals today. Her first food are organic white rice from Earth Best and she hates it!! I guess it must have been very weird for her to take food from a spoon and she really shows her unhappiness by giving us shrieks of crying.. HA HA HA!! Just have to stay patient and give my little darling more time I guess..

Little one went for the trial at Baby Jumper Gym today and today I was more prepared, making sure that she naps and has her milk before the class, just in case she falls asleep again in the midst of it..
Todays's class is very different from the one that we attended at Kindemusik. At BJG, it's more of flash cards learning adopting the famous "Glenn Doman" method. But what I really like about it is tat it's not all about learning, they also include gym play with our little ones and most importantly I can tell that she enjoys it. Like all the other babies, she was all shagged up after the class and fell asleep almost immediately.The school fees are pretty ex though :( Hopefully it will be worth it..

Really excited also as I just bought her a real expensive bumper mat and it will be delivered to us tomorrow. It came at a good time too as we are encouraging her to crawl now and I din wanna buy to buy a cheap mat as I wanted something that would last long. Can't wait to use it!!

Princess's Toys

So excited today. Will be having my girls night out dinner..

Shopping Trip

Brought Leia shopping today to finally get the toy "Link a Doos" from fisherprice.
Was thinking about it very long before I finally decided to get it as there is a 20% disc at Robinsons and this is the cheapest it could get.
Today was also Leia's second trip to a bookstore. It's really amazing as she seems to be fascinated by all the books around her..ha ha.. "am i thinking too much??" It just seems to me that she knows she is in a bookstore. Bought the book "Baby Wise 2" recommended by Grace.

First Books

Brought our little one to Borders today. Was hoping to get a book name "Baby Wise" for myself but in the end we bought our Princess her first hard cover book..
And we din just buy one but two books cos while queuing to pay, this book though expensive caught our eye. This book "Maisy's ABC" by Lucy Cousins is really cute. It's not the typical ABC book for kids and when u pull the tabs inside it makes the animations move..ha ha ha..
The first book that I first decided on, "Mommy and Baby Safari" by Melanie Mitchell was a love at first sight for me. It's picture on the cover was simply sooo loving that I did not even hesitate to get it.
Actually the very first book that we got for our little one is the cloth "On the Farm" book that produces soft sounds. Leia really likes it cause the animal sounds in the book amazes her. I usually read this book to her before she goes to sleep but I soon decided that my darling is ready for a real book and the books that we got for her today was a good choice. Hope she enjoys it..

Babies Monthly Gathering

Since August, my 'kakis' have been organizing a monthly gathering for our little ones and yesterday it was at Auntie Fiona's place..

The past two weeks..

For the past two weeks, I realize that my little Princess has been drooling a lot and playing very much with her saliva, blowing bubbles!!
She has also been getting more expressive and generous with her smiles..
I even manage to capture quite a number of shots of her smiling. Her every smile melts my heart :)

She's also responding very well to the toys that we got for her especially to the ones made my this company called Tiny Love.
She has a tortise friend called "Taylor" which actually makes recorded noises by little children and it's suppose to stimulate her emotional intelligence. It looks really cute when she actually "talks" back to her little friend.

I also have been exercising her a lot to stand on her legs and now she will always try to push her butt up whenever we sit her!! hah hah hah..

It's simply amazing as she did not just do it for one, two times but FOUR!!!!!!!
I'm so proud of u my little Princess :)
This is such a wonderful moment for me to be able to witness this, as I know that if I were to go back to work next year, there will be many special moments that I am going to miss..
So I really cherish all my time spent with the little one right now.

Trial class at Kindermusik

Our little Princess went for her trial class at Kindermusik today.
It was sooo funny cos she fell asleep towards the end of the class without the use of her pacifier!!! She must have been so tired.. Hah hah hah..
The class was quite interesting for me as it teaches mummy exercises with the baby but I felt it was not really worth the price so decided not to join the class.
Will bring baby for BJG trial class and hopefully this time she dun fall asleep again!

FAMILY OUTING

Brought our precious one to Vivo City..
Hubby initially wanted to carry her on the baby sling, but me wanted the little princess to take the stroller. Me wanted to train her to sit on the stroller without fear and be able to comfort herself to sleep on her own in the stroller.
The trip today has been quite successful,as the little one did not make me sit in the nursing room to comfort her!!!
We really should bring her out more often.
We even manage to get a family pic together..

I bought her this "Tummy time together Gym " from Taka yesterday..

It's her first Playskool toy and supposedly to make tummy time more fun..It can also be converted into a gym. I really like the way they make their animals look..

STARTING OUT

As this blog is dedicated to my beloved Princess Leia, I decided to put in more effort and time blogging and posting pics of her journey through life..
And also I will also post backdated pictures of her when her journey started with me in my tummy, including thoughts which I could recall!!

And starting with this pic taken on 13th Nov 2005, Sunday..
On that day, plenty of feelings run through my head and heart. I was both nervous and anxious. I was also not very hopeful as I had just suffered an early miscarriage two months ago. I did not wanna be too positive as I din wanna be disappointed again.
Darling and I decided that this time we should wait a little longer before going for a blood test to confirm that I was pregnant.
I pray hard this time, that u will not be taken away and be given this chance to be a good parent. Days seems like years and time seems to pass by so slowly before I get to see the doctor.
On 19th Nov 2005, I went for the first blood test and was also given a jab to stabilize this pregnancy. And two days later, I went for a second blood test to confirm that my blood level has doubled and again given another jab.
We await anxiously for the results and this time round, we were given good news. I was definitely pregnant and u are stable. Thank You God.. Both Daddy and I shall wait patiently for your arrival in the next ten months as I silently said in my heart..

TAKA TRIP

It's been so long since I posted.. Life is just never the same with a new baby around. Brought Princess Leia to Taka today and bought her a new bathtub.. My oh my, it's a sign, showing that she has grown!!
Babies really outgrow their clothes and things so fast..
Today was also an experiment for me to let her travel on the car seat with just me and her.. The car ride was quite smooth but taking her on the stroller alone was such a nightmare!! She simply din like sitting on the stroller for too long and with the loud and noisy crowd, things got worse!!
She just can't go to sleep:( Poor baby!
And in the end, I had to carry and cradle her in the nursing room at Paragon for 30 mins before she settled down.. Before that, she was screaming like hell!! And I almost had a "PANIC ATTACK"!!
I decided that I should really practise sitting her on the stroller more often.. And try to bring her out on more shopping trips.. But will have to have someone come along with us, in case!! Hah HAh..
