What a terrible week!!!
Firstly I am still sick after the birthday bash (it's been a week already!!!!!!!!), then my internet connection failed me for almost 4 days...
I was not able to blog on darling Princess's birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO SO SAD...
Finally I can now wish my precious ger,
"HAPPY BELATED 1 YEAR OLD BIRTHDAY!!!!"
How time flies, the Princess is now 1 year old and ever since after the bash, she seems to have grown so much..
She babbles so very often and it almost seems like she is communicating with you just that in her own language. She is also learning how to walk on her own and she enjoys going round and round the house as you hold her hand.. She definitely is more expressive and vocal about her wants and don't wants.. She is such a chilli padi..
My wish for her: To stay healthy and bubbly always..
I believe that everyday, there must be someone out there asking themselves, what are they here for and what is the purpose of them being on earth? Some choose to seek their answer spiritually while some just continue to live each day, not bothered to know the answer. Whatever way you choose, there is no right or wrong. While the way I choose, is to keep knowing that I am loved and be strong to walk the journey of life.

I LOVE YOU MOM...
' BEING A MOTHER '
* ~ * After 21 years of marriage, My wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said, "I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you."
The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.
That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie. "What's wrong, are you well," she asked? My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news. "I thought that it would be pleasant to spend some time with you, "I responded. "Just the two of us." She thought about it for a moment, and then said, "I would like that very much."
That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on.
She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary. She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's. "I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed," she said, as she got into the car."They can't wait to hear about our meeting."
We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady.
After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only read large print. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes a nd saw Mom sitting there staring at me.
A nostalgic smile was on her lips. "It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small,"she said . "Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favor," I responded.
During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation nothing extraordinary but catching up on recent events of each other's life.
We talked so much that we missed the movie. As we arrived at her house later, she said, "I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you." I agreed.
"How was your dinner date?" asked my wife when I got home. "Very nice. Much more so than I could have imagined," I answered.
A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't have a chance to do anything for her.
Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined.
An attached note said: "I paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant for me. I love you, son."
At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: "I LOVE YOU" and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve. Nothing in life is more important than your family. Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till "some other time."
Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby .... somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother,"normal" is history.
Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct .. somebody never took a three-year-old shopping.
Somebody said being a mother is boring .. somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit.
Somebody said if you're a "good" mother, your child will "turn out good"... somebody thinks a child comes with directions and a guarantee.
Somebody said "good" mothers never raise their voices .... somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her child hit a golf ball through the neighbor's kitchen window.
Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother .... somebody never helped a fourth grader with his math.
Somebody said you can't love the second child as much as you love the first ... somebody doesn't have two children.
Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child-rearing questions in the books.... somebody never had a child stuff beans up his nose or in his ears.
Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labor and delivery.... somebody never watched her "baby" get on the bus for the first day of kindergarten .. or on a plane headed for military "boot camp."
Somebody said a mother can do her job with her eyes closed and one hand tied behind her back ... somebody never organized seven giggling Brownies to sell cookies.
Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married.... somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in- law to a mother's heartstrings.
Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home.... somebody never had grandchildren.
Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her ... somebody isn't a mother.
Pass this along to all the "mothers" in your life, and to everyone who ever had a mother. This isn't just about being a mother, it's about appreciating the people in your life while you have them....no matter who that person is
I chanced upon this and it reminded me how blessed I am..
Being a mother myself, this story really touched my heart especially when I know how much my mother has been through for me and my sister.
I take this opportunity to thank my greatest fan of my blog.. MY MOTHER
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING U HAVE DONE FOR US..
U ARE THE GREATEST GIFT THAT HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ME..

kindergarten??
Hee.. Mom made a funny comment today asking me if I was going to be a kindergarten teacher?? I asked her why and she said I looked like I was turning the house into a kindergarten with all the toys that I set up for the Princess..
I had fixed up the mini playground and also bought the 200 plastic balls for the ball pool.. Gosh.. It certainly looks and sound like a mini nursery in the house..
Leia loves the pool very much.. She is such a dear child.. And I also realise that she is very aware of our facial expressions.. Just the other day, we brought her to Marina Square, we went into this computer store to check out some stuffs.. as usual the little one just could not resist pulling off all the things on the shelf.. so Daddy had to carry her away while I shop for the stuffs and she started screaming and wailing in the store... I gave one hard look at her and she immediately hushed.. I think she could tell that I was not happy with her screaming like that.. She's not a quitter though, but this time with a smaller voice, she was babbling away..trying her luck again just to see if I would give her the look again... And when I did, she kept quiet again..
I am really amazed that babies learn so fast.. They know when u are happy, they know when u are angry..
It made me realised that our actions are so important.. Our body language is something that a very young child can understand.. We are their role models so the best teacher in the world are parents themselves.. If u wan yr child to be a better person in this world, u must first be one yourself..
From today, I will learn and try to be a better person..

BUSY BUSY BUSY
Its been such a long while since I last posted..
I have been so darn busy with the Princess's birthday bash and the guest list just keeps growing!!!! I seem to have invited the whole of Singapore!! Gosh...
So much have happen for this whole week..
Hubby has finally confirmed his posting to China.. He will be leaving us in August..
Initially I took it quite well, but as the date gets nearer, I am feeling pretty reluctant.. I worry about my little Princess, who will not be seeing her daddy in her most important stage of life as we decided that it is a wiser choice to join him later when he is more settled in China.. I worry that she has to be left in the house without her Daddy and Mummy when I am away for long flights.. I worry about her safety, her learning skills and almost everything...
I get so upset just thinking that neither of us am unable to put her to bed at night.. Neither of us is there to read her a bedtime story, sing her a lullaby... And so much much more..
Is this a good choice? Is there a better alternative?
In life, there are so many struggles that man has to go through, but thinking that I put my little one to learn independence at such a young age is just so terrible..
But do I have a choice? Daddy has to go, for the sake of our future, to provide us with a more comfortable life.. Mummy has to "ren" and go to work for another year so as to finish the 10 years contract with the company..
The only thing that I hope for right now is that the whole family can quickly adapt to this BIG change in our life.. And that I am able to take it well..
I now learn to treasure my family more than anything.. just the other day, I receive and read an email which I find it so true...
When we bump into someone, We immediately apologise.. When we accidentally step onto a stranger on the street, we apologise too.. But when those incidents happen to any of your family member, we just brush it off or sometimes we might even scream st the other party "WA LAO!! BLIND AH!!"
Sounds familiar??!! Just because they are our family members, we often take them for granted.. We never bother to apologize to our loved ones for the mistakes that we make.. We just take for granted that it's their fault and forget about their feelings..
As I write this, I feel so guilty.. For screaming at my husband's concerns for me as I always find them naggy.. For not apologizing to my loved ones, for the mistakes that I make and being so prideful..
I promise to try to be a better person and a better mom..
I have also been real busy with the scrapbook that I am making for my Princess's birthday..
It will be a month by month progress and picture book of her for the past year..
It's a real last min project!!!
I have also manage to set up her slide.. AND the Princess LOOOOOVVVVEEESSSS them... will put on pics of her playing with it soon!!!
